Getting ready for Halloween

 

What a slug I have been............  all I can say is that I am going to get through the next few months by enjoying having Ali and Dulce here, getting my treatments done and behind me and enjoying the holidays......  after that I will really try to get it together again.  Do you think that will work?????

Anyway, last nite we did some decorating and pumpkin carving. 

Ali had her heart set on a Dora pumpkin.

When she asked Poppa to carve it for her he said " I will do my best to make it look like dora but don't be mad if I dont get it right"  to which she answered " I won't be mad, Poppa.  Just get it right!"  Oh to be the boss!!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I, on the other hand, was much smarter and watched as Chelsea and Alex put up our new Halloween Decor Elements images for decorations!

More Halloween Fun today........  so I better get going!

I just love being a 'Nonna'....

I'm having such a great time here in Texas visiting Dane, Dulce and Alex!  She is already 4 years old.... that is so crazy for me to think about!  But it feels like only minutes have passed since we were last together- she was so happy to see us- and she hasn't left my side since!

This card we made at our last class...  I think I wanted to show you this one today because it reminds me of Alex....  she is like the most precious flower- and is as happy as every child should be! 

Yesterday we spent hours playing dolls....  I had forgotton how much fun it is to just be a Nonna.....  we've been dancing, singing and playing - all the things I have missed most.

And hugging and kissing- yea, that's what I really missed............ you can never have too much of that :-)

Frame

I had the best bible study this summer......  what peace there is in learning more and sharing our faith with others!

On the last day everyone gave each other gifts (you just gotta love women!) and I made this little desk frame for each of them. 

I made one for myself (of course) and I really should make one for every room in my house because just looking at it calms me down and makes me feel so good inside............

The Kids Love Stamping Too!!

Last week, we decided to host a Mothers Day Kids Class at my studio, where we let the moms drop off their kids for 2 hours of creativity!! My daughter and I designed two ADORABLE Mothers Day projects for the kids to make- they had so much fun!

First, they made this precious flower pot using the Big Shot. We salvaged fruit jars from our house and added some marbles- so cute!!

 

They also made a Mothers Day book (similar to the one Chelsea made for me a few years ago) where we gave them room to put pictures in and journal about just how much they love their moms :)

  


The kids absolutely LOVED to stamp- even the boys!! I guess that just goes to show just how much they're like their mothers! :)

 

Big Shot Projects

Our last Big Shot class featured different projects using the Table Setting Die- it was a lot of fun to play with it and my favorite was the little bunny I made!

This place setting was made using our Springtime Fabrics, rosettes and felt....  lucky for me it matches my dishes perfectly!

And this next project actually is a little candy holder.....  it's hard to see the candy because it's just an empty wrapper right now.........  wonder what happened to the chocolate!

Isn't this little guy so cute!!!

Two Fun Weekends!

I've been a stampin' fool these past two weekends!

We had our Stamp & Scrap Getaway Weekend at the Dolce in Basking Ridge and it was FABULOUS!!!  Great friends, great laughs and lots of scrapbooking!  I got a whopping 10 pages done- that is a real feat for me!

Here is one of the pages from the weekend...........  can you believe my baby is going to graduate this year???????

 

And then last weekend I went to Elmer, NJ to spend some quality stampin' time with the Philly INKers at their Spring Fling event!!  It felt so good to be out and with the girls!

It's also inspired me to get more stuff going on my calendar!  I hope to see some of you at the next few events we have!

Just an Update...

Hey there girls! I just finished teaching my Specialty Cards Class here at the studio, and I created a card I'm just crazy about! I used a lot of the new merch in the Occasions Mini, so I thought I would give you all some more ideas!

For this card, I used clear embossing powder and a Big Shot texture for the background, as well as Chantilly Lace ribbon for the bottom. As for the new items, I used the Beveled Windowpanes from the mini, as well as the First Edition DSP and a cute little trinket key! Isn't it adorable??

So like I said before, get shopping girls! There's so many cute things to be made! Happy stamping everyone :-)

Hey Girls!

It's been awhile since I've updated you on what's going on at the studio - I've been so busy with family-related things and classes that neither me nor my assistant have been able to update my blog! But now that I have some free time, I'd like to show you guys some of the cute new products in the Occasions Mini Catalog!!

This is one of the more versatile (not to mention adorable) stamp set/punch combos - the Build a Blossom stamp set paired with the Blossom Petals punch (both on page 12 of the Occasions Mini). Over the past month, we've done several cards with them, showing you guys just how useful they can be.. Along with creating a sweet birthday card!

 

 

 

 

Another cute set to use together is the Vintage Flower Adornments (in the middle of the tissue box) and the Springtime Vintage Designer Paper. When put together, they make an adorable combination of both sweet and old-fashioned! Also used on this card were the Big Shot Scallop Circle Die and the Baby Blossoms set, also in the Occasions Mini.
