Waking up to this....

We have had such a great time with Marc and Atar up here in Sedona....  we usually stay at The Summit- a Diamond International Resort that our son works for, but this time we stayed at their beautiful home.  It was  so nice to be with them all day and then hang out till all hours of the nite.  We had so much fun and laughed more than I thought possible.  Of course, it's not too hard to live where they do.....  this is what we woke up to each morning and where we hung out each nite.....

And how adorable are these kids.............  we just left their house and I miss them already.....

Now we begin an 8 hour car ride back down to Sierra Vista to pick up our daughter, Chelsea, and give that baby Ali another kiss goodbye!!

Her First Swim

Papa (aka Jim) had only one goal this vacation..........  to take that baby swimming.  The first day we tried there were lightning storms and I put the kibosh on being in the pool.  He did get his wish on the second day and took her swimming.  200 photos and an hour long video later we have officially chronicled Ali's first swim.

I would  love to say she enjoyed every minute but as you can see, she really didn't want any part of it at first......

But Papa persuaded her  it wasn't  so bad by showing her how to blow bubbles in the water.....

And, of course, he won her over and they had such a great time together that she eventually fell asleep in his arms right there in the water.....  so very sweet.....

All together again....

She is just amazing..........

We are all in Arizona now and celebrated the 4th of July together at a park in Prescott ...  it was the first time the entire family has been together since last May at Marc and Atar's wedding.  It was also the first  time we have seen our son, Dane, since he returned from Afghanistan.  And, it was the first time we have seen our precious and amazing granddaughter, Ali, in 3 months. She is not a baby anymore but a real toddler and into everything!

Her mama, Dulce, put me in charge and it happened to be while it was raining and hailing!  As any good Nonna would do, I let her play in the puddles!

I have a lot more to share with you but since I want to get out of my room and take her swimming today I am just going to post this last photo of all of us together.....  the greatest blessing in my life is watching how my kids have grown up and truly love each other and love to be together.....  I could not have asked for more than that!!

I had a wonderful stamping weekend so far...........  enjoyed our Friday Girl's Night Out crop here with some of my favorite friends and then taught the new Rubber Stamping Enrichment Course on Saturday!  During the crop on Friday nite my Stampin' Up! order arrived with the new wall rub-ons we have just released!!  I LOVE 'EM!!!

So I utilized the talents and brain power of some of the girls to put one up on the wall immediately!

And, as is my teaching style (and patience level) I will tell you the things NOT to do when you are applying this new and cool product at your own home!!

• Do NOT throw away the directions as soon as you open the package
• After trying on your own and having to retrieve the directions from the garbage do NOT assume that they are only on one side of the paper.
• Do NOT rush the process by whipping the sticky paper off as if you are taking off a band-aid.
• After your friends have all jumped in to try and save you do NOT tell them you know what you are doing if, in fact, you really don't.
• When you are ready to walk over to the wall with the sticky paper and letters all ready to go and holding them so nicely in front of you do NOT walk into a fan blowing on high.
• When the directions clearly state 'Do Not let sticky paper attach onto itself' .... do NOT believe they are lying. (test this theory for yourself with the with the last step....)
• If you find yourself with sticky paper and letters attached to your face because of that stupid fan just consider it like having a mini skin peel.......

After the unintentional laughter died down we did get them up easily and beautifully.....  and I am sooooo happy with them!!  I can't wait to do the next set- I am just going to ask a few friends over first for backup!!

Girl's Lacrosse .....

Last nite I put our June Scrapping Kit together..... 'Picnic in the Park'....  I was so happy that the colors worked perfectly with Chelsea's Freshman Lacrosse photos from this season!  What a great feeling to have the season over just one month ago and these pages already done!!  I love those kits!!

 

I journaled using the Old Olive striped paper in the kit....  it was perfect for a 'sports' setting layout!!  I hope you can read the journaling.... it tells the story of how there is really more 'girl' in Girl's Lacrosse than there is lacrosse!!!  Too cute!

Rubber Stamping Enrichment Course offered!

I promised everyone that we would have a new version of Stamp & Scrap University someday and now that day is here!

We have put together an improved format for everyone to learn new stamping techniques and keep them in a binder with instructions for constant (and attractive!) reference and inspiration!!

This course will feature 20 techniques- including our new Fresh Cuts notecards and no technique that has been previously done in our S&SU series! What a wonderful resource for your own pleasure or to teach to others if you choose!!

Just B scrapbook page

For our May Scrap At Home Kit I worked with some of my favorite products.....  our Jersey Shore Designer Series Paper and the Just B stamp set!

These are some photos taken the day Dulce and Ali left to return to Arizona....  Boy I miss that baby!!! Dulce is a wonderful daughter in law- she sends me pictures every couple of days and I am going to print them all out for our Summer Cropping Weekend in August!
